Earlier this week, Maddie and I met an incredible person. His name is Jim Moss and he started The Smile Epidemic. Maddie was really nervous about the rehearsal for her upcoming speech at Ignite Charity. Jim was so kind. He offered Maddie some great advice. He said, "if you are nervous, just replace 'nervous' with 'excited' and see it change how you feel." This tip really helped both of us.

Jim will be sharing his story at @ignitecharity on September 12 so I wouldn't go into details here. As tickets for this event sold out in a mere 12 hours, if you don't have yours already, you'll still be able to catch his presentation through the magic of live streaming via YouTube. His is an inspirational story that has motivated me to take the 30 days of Happiness challenge.

I'm on Day 3 and loving it. I keep thinking of all the people, places and things that make me smile. As a result, I experience more joy in my day, I'm seeing the world with a new perspective and yes, I am smiling more.

I encourage you to take the 30 days of happiness challenge. Jim says, "give me your smile and I'll give it back to you with interest." You have, Jim, and I'm so grateful for your initiative, perseverance and appreciation of life.
